Green Valley Ranch High School

A state-of-the-art education facility designed for students from pre-school to twelfth grade, the Green Valley Ranch campus opened its doors for school in August 2010. The 35-acre campus serves Northeast Denver, which is one of the fastest growing areas in the city. The facility incorporates a range of sustainable energy and utility reducing features, making it one of the most energy efficient schools in Denver Public Schools (DPS) and in Colorado. The new campus consists of five buildings that include one elementary school, one middle school, one high school and one Commons Building with shared public spaces, plus a regional sports complex.

The Commons Building, which houses the common areas of the campus such as the cafeteria, needed a colorful resilient flooring solution that was durable enough to withstand high traffic, yet easy to maintain. Cortina Grande and SolidAir commercial resilient tiles offered the design flexibility, aesthetics, maintenance qualities and cost requirements to meet the facility's needs. With a wide range of color options and superior performance warranty, Cortina Grande and SolidAir provided the right flooring solution.

The team at Commercial Flooring Services was pleased with the design flexibility, color range and reduced maintenance qualities of Cortina Grande and SolidAir. The natural durability of the floor and its resilience to heavy traffic made it an excellent flooring solution for the Commons Building at the Green Valley Ranch campus. Cortina Grande and SolidAir allowed the flooring design to come to life and helped create cheerful and open common spaces within the Commons Building. The flooring design was integrated with the overall concept for the building, which was created to provide an open, inviting and cheerful environment.
